Finance Assistant (Purchase Ledger) Part-time hours per week Hybrid working £33,000 FTE (pro rata for part-time hours) Are you a proactive Purchase Ledger professional looking for a flexible, supportive finance role where you can really take ownership? We re working with a growing business that s looking to welcome a Finance Assistant (Purchase Ledger) into their friendly and collaborative finance team. This is a part-time opportunity (approx. hours per week) with flexibility around days worked. While normal full-time hours are 9:00 5:30 (with a 30-minute lunch), the team is happy to accommodate different working patterns with the understanding that some flexibility is required around month end. The Role: Reporting to the Finance Manager, you ll take responsibility for the end-to-end purchase ledger function, working closely with both internal teams and external suppliers. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys ownership, problem-solving, and being part of a supportive finance environment. Key responsibilities include: Processing high-volume supplier invoices, matching purchase orders to jobs on the MIS system Managing daily export/import controls and flagging exceptions Processing overhead invoices Resolving invoice queries and disputes Preparing weekly payment runs and early settlement runs, issuing remittance advices Reconciling supplier statements Processing staff expenses in Sage Intacct Posting and reconciling company credit card transactions Supporti
