Mobile Plant Fitter Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) Location: Halstead, Essex - Workshop and Field Based Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm Job Type: Full-time, Permanent We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established and growing company based in Halstead, Essex. This is a varied role combining workshop-based maintenance and repairs with visits to customer sites across Essex and the surrounding counties. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of construction plant, heavy machinery and equipment, working both independently and as part of an experienced engineering team. We would welcome applications from experienced Mobile Plant Fitters, Plant Mechanics, Field Service Engineers and Plant Engineers with strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair a wide range of construction plant, heavy machinery and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), routine servicing and reactive repairs. Attend customer sites across Essex and surrounding areas to diagnose faults and complete repairs. Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues. Manage repairs from initial fault diagnosis through to completion.
