Job Description: Walker Movements Ltd is seeking a dedicated HGV Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate within a bustling workshop environment, responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring vehicles and trailers are in optimal condition. HGV Technician / Mechanic The position is a full-time permanent role- Perform maintenance and repairs across all levels, including diagnostics.- Hold CAT C and E Licence (preferable).- Ensure vehicles and trailers are maintained and repaired in compliance with current legislation.- Conduct routine maintenance adhering to VOSA/DVSA standards.- Prepare and present vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspections.- Utilise computer-based diagnostic equipment for vehicle diagnosis.- Possess experience in working with modern heavy commercial vehicles and trailers, with knowledge in electrics and hydraulics being advantageous.- Uphold high standards of housekeeping to meet health and safety regulations.- Complete all paperwork accurately and efficiently.- Utilise personal protective equipment as necessary.
