Income Officer3-Month Contract Immediate Start Hybrid Working A Surrey based social housing provider is looking for an experienced Income Officer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract with an immediate start available.This is an excellent opportunity to manage your own patch, take ownership of rent arrears cases and make a real impact on income collection and tenancy sustainment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of rent arrears accounts from early intervention through to legal actionNegotiate affordable repayment arrangements with tenants and support them in sustaining their tenanciesConduct home visits, telephone interviews and correspondence with residentsProvide advice on welfare benefits, Universal Credit and income maximisationPrepare legal documentation for court proceedings and attend hearings where requiredWork closely with internal teams and external agencies to support vulnerable residentsMaintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with policies and proceduresDeliver a high-quality customer-focused service whilst meeting collection targetsEssential ExperiencePrevious experience working as an Income Officer, Rent Recovery Officer or similar within social housingStrong knowledge of rent arrears recovery and tenancy managementExperience dealing with Universal Credit, Housing Benefit and welfare reformAbility to manage legal action relating to rent arrears and possession proceedingsExcellent communication, negotiation and customer service ..... full job details .....
