Team and RoleThe Books team in Germany is looking for a smart, team-oriented, highly analytical Vendor Manager to join our passionate and fast-paced team and help us scale our business while cultivating and develop our best talent.
The successful candidate will have exceptional project management, communication and analytic skills and big ideas on how to create great customer experiences. They will be detail-oriented, organized and capable of handling multiple projects at once, working to tight deadlines, dealing with multiple teams and corresponding with publishers. The right candidate will be ambitious and keen to move into a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
Manage strategic programs with leading publishers to create a great customer experience and help the books business and publishers grow
Complete customer analysis, brainstorm and execute new initiatives to meet customer needs
Analyse and track publishers'' performance on key performance indicators
Think backwards from the customer means thinking across reading/listening formats: physical books, kindle, Audible
Work closely with the marketing, supply chain and product management teams within Books to align all efforts and deliver results
Basic Qualifications
Min. Bachelor''s degree, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in business-to-business relationships, preferably in e-commerce, publishing, or related industries
Fluency in German and English, both verbal and written
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Business Intelligence systems
Proven track record of successful project management and strategic planning
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally
Demonstrated ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Past experience with digital technologies, e-commerce, supply chain and/ or content management
Advanced degree (Master''s) in Business Management, Finance, or related field
