Prepare accurate quotations, negotiate rates and secure bookings. Coordinate full loads, part loads and groupage shipments, arranging collections and deliveries. Source and book reliable hauliers, checking availability, transit times and service requirements. Prepare and check transport and commercial documentation, including CMR consignment notes. Handle customs declarations and clearance arrangements, liaising with customs agents where required. Track shipments, monitor delivery schedules and obtain proof of delivery. Resolve delays, issues and documentation discrepancies promptly. Build and maintain client relationships, understand their requirements and identify opportunities for repeat business. Develop strong working relationships with hauliers, suppliers, overseas agents and partners. Check supplier charges, raise customer invoices and monitor shipment profitability.
