The post holder will handle a senior management role responsible for overseeing and optimising the procurement and supply chain at HJE.Am I the right person for the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain?Must be able to develop and implement the hospital''s procurement strategy aligned with the organisation''s overall objectives and goals.Analyse market trends, supply chain risks, and opportunities to optimise procurement processes.Ensure availability of goods and services required to deliver high-quality care.What are the Responsibilities of the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain?Use digital procurement tools, e.g., ERFX, to optimise competitive procurement processes.Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and align procurement activities accordingly.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective purchasing practices.Act as a key point of contact for procurement and supply chain issues and collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies.Lead and manage the procurement and supply chain team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.Allocate resources effectively to meet procurement objectives and deadlines.Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing disruptions.Implement risk management strategies to address supplier dependencies and geopolitical uncertainties.Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to secure new supply solutions or renew existing contracts.Develop contingency plans for critical supplies and maintain robust disaster recovery measures.Co-lead the hospital’s Medical Device Committee.Provide training and guidance on procurement and supply chain policies, procedures, and best practices.Why apply for this role?At our organisation, we are passionate about providing our employees with a supportive and engaging environment.
