Support Worker
Are you a compassionate and caring individual looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in someone''s life? We are currently seeking a Support Worker to join an existing team, to assist a disabled young adult male within his Wolverhampton home.You will be part of a friendly and supportive care team, some of whom have been with him for several years, forming a close bond with him.As a Support Worker, your key responsibilities will be:Assisting with personal care.Driving his adapted vehicle.Helping with swimming/hydrotherapy.Administering medication.Supporting him to go out into the world. He enjoys going to the park/zoo, cinema, bowling, pub etc. Expenses will be covered. Previous experience would be an advantage, but an aptitude to care and undertake all aspects of personal care is essential. Full training will be provided. As his Support Worker you will need:A full, clean driving licence.To be able to swim, as this is one of his favourite activities.To be able to communicate fluently in English.To have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years and be able to evidence your right to work in the UK.To be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.To live within a 30-minute drive to Wolverhampton.As this role is very specific, we ideally need to take on a Female applicant in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 .
