Accounts Assistant - Construction West London £35,000 per annum 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract The Opportunity An established and highly regarded construction business is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Working within a busy and supportive environment, you''ll play a key role in the smooth running of the accounts function, supporting the commercial, procurement, project, and operational teams across a range of construction projects. This position would suit someone with previous accounts payable experience, particularly within the construction sector, who enjoys working with suppliers, managing invoices, and building strong relationships across the supply chain. The Role Reporting into the finance team, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently, and assisting with general finance administration. Key Responsibilities Processing high volumes of supplier invoices. Matching invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation. Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies. Managing supplier accounts and maintaining accurate records. Reviewing supplier statements and reconciling balances. Responding to supplier queries via phone and email. Assisting with payment runs.
