Behaviour Mentor / Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant - Bexley Contract: Permanent, Full Time, Term Time Only Start Date: January 2026 Salary: From £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Location: Bexley, South-East London We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor / Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team on a permanent, full-time, term-time only basis starting January 2026. This role is ideal for a confident, reliable and resilient professional with strong behaviour management skills and experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Role Overview: Behaviour Mentor/ SEMH Teaching Assistant As a key member of our inclusion team, you will: Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs Support pupils to regulate their behaviour, build resilience and engage fully in learning Implement behaviour plans and de-escalation strategies Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and wider support staff Maintain a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment Encourage independence, emotional development and social skills Person Specification: Behaviour Mentor/ SEMH Teaching Assistant We are looking for candidates who: Have proven experience in UK schools, ideally supporting SEMH pupils Have strong and consistent behaviour management skills Are calm, firm, and empathetic when working with challenging behaviours Are reliable, professional and committed to making a positive differe
