Carbon60 is recruiting for an Assistant Workshop Supervisor on behalf of a leading engineering client.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support the panel workshop team, including wiremen and apprenticesBuild and assemble control panels and PLC panels to specificationInterpret and work from electrical circuits and diagramsConduct point-to-point, dead, functional, and live testingCheck and sign off test documentsPrepare panels for delivery and collectionLiaise with directors and office colleaguesMaintain high workshop standards and housekeepingMonitor health and safety within the workshopManage stock levels, conduct stock takes, and coordinate with the Office Manager for ordersQualifications and ExperiencePrevious experience in a supervisory role within a panel workshopBackground as a panel wiremanStrong knowledge of electrical components and principlesFamiliarity with industry terminology, standards, and regulationsExcellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skillsEffective communication and interpersonal abilitiesPerson SpecificationPositive, proactive approach to challengesStrong attention to detail and accuracyCollaborative team player with a ''can do'' attitudeCommitted to continuous improvement and learningAble to build trusted relationships
