About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced and motivated Children's Senior Social Worker / Specialist Social Worker to join the Families First – Initial Support Team based in Ealing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated social work professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and families by providing high-quality assessment, intervention and support services.

You will play a key role in identifying the needs of children and families, managing safeguarding concerns and ensuring that children receive the appropriate support to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments of children and families, identifying needs, risks and appropriate support.
• Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns and assess risks to children.
• Work collaboratively with families to develop support plans and promote positive outcomes.
• Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals, including schools, health services and other relevant organisations.
• Prepare high-quality reports, assessments and case records in line with statutory requirements.
• Ensure the welfare and safety of children remain central to all decision-making.
• Participate in team meetings, case discussions and supervision.
• Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues where required.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Significant experience working within Children's Social Care.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and relevant legislation.
• Experience undertaking assessments and managing complex cases.
• Excellent communication, report-writing and multi-agency working skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• UK Passport or full right to work in the UK
