Registered Service Manager - Solo Residential Children''s Home

Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Registered Service Manager to lead the development, registration and ongoing operation of a new solo residential childcare service in Glasgow.

This is a unique opportunity to establish a service from the ground up, creating a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural and social needs. You will play a key role in shaping the culture, systems and standards of the service while ensuring outstanding outcomes for children and young people.

As Registered Service Manager, you will:

• Lead the registration and launch of the service with the Care Inspectorate.
• Develop policies, procedures and operational systems.
• Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the service.
• Recruit, develop and support a skilled and motivated staff team.
• Ensure safeguarding, child protection and risk management processes are robust and effective.
• Work closely with local authorities, placing teams and external professionals.
• Promote trauma-informed, child-centred and relationship-based care.
• Maintain compliance with Scottish legislation, Care Inspectorate requirements and Health & Social Care Standards.
• Drive quality assurance, continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children and young people.

You will have:

• Significant management experience within residential childcare or a related regulated children''s service.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and risk management.
• Experience leading, developing and managing teams.
• A sound understanding of Scottish residential childcare legislation and Care Inspectorate standards.
• Relevant qualifications that meet SSSC and Care Inspectorate requirements for a residential childcare manager.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
