The successful applicant will be based at our production facility in Birmingham city centre.The RoleAs part of a larger strategy to increase our productivity across the business, we are looking to add a skilled and flexible machinist to our team, who s role will be to support the incumbent CNC team with all aspects of their daily tasks as required. Responsible for setting and operating 1, 2 or 3 Axis CNC milling machines at a time, predominately working with Stainless Steels and nonferrous metals. Setting and operating of CNC machinery on the sectionAdhering to company manufacturing proceduresConforming to specified engineering and quality standardsUsing various types of measuring equipment to ensure parts conform to drawingWorking as a hands-on machinist on either Fanuc or Mazak VMC sProviding absence cover where requiredCarrying out TPM /PPM activitiesProving Out Key Skills (non-negotiable) Strong understanding of CNC milling and manufacturing processesExperience as a setter-operator utilising 3 Axis CNC milling machinesStrong understanding of CNC milling and manufacturing processesExtensive experiencing in setting and running CNC machinesAbility to read drawings including GDandT ..... full job details .....
