The Role
As a Planner, you will play an integral role in supporting and delivering a wide range of planning projects, primarily large residential-led schemes across London. You''ll work closely with senior colleagues and clients, providing expert support throughout the planning process.
Your responsibilities will include:
Drafting key planning documents and submitting applications
Supporting senior colleagues in delivering strategic and technical advice
Liaising with clients, local authority officers, and stakeholders to progress projects
Preparing research, reports, notes, and correspondence for project manager review
Reviewing planning policy and legislation to inform strategies
Attending client and project meetings, and representing the business at public events
Assisting with fee proposals, tenders, and consultant team management
Coaching and supporting junior team members
About You
We''re looking for someone who is motivated, commercially aware, and keen to grow within a consultancy environment. The ideal candidate will have:
A degree (or higher) in a relevant subject
RTPI accreditation (or working towards it)
Experience of submitting small-scale applications (e.g. condition discharge)
Knowledge of the London planning system
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Good understanding of UK planning law, development management, and local plans
A collaborative and professional approach, with the confidence to take responsibility and client-facing roles
