Are you excited about coaching and mentoring the next generation of strategic leaders?In This Role, You WillBe responsible for driving the direction of Arena both as a brand and the strategic quality of output for Arena.Report directly into the Group Head of Strategy for the Havas Media Network with a dotted line into the Head of Arena.Lead the strategic transformation for Arena and clients, acting as the first point of consult for big business challenges and digital transformation journeys.Business Transformation For Arena And Our ClientsBe the primary strategic advisor to clients, Head of Arena, and peers; provide senior-level strategic guidance on business challenges and digital transformation.Set the Digital and Data ambition for the agency, covering digital brand, performance and commerce with a clear, easily understood story for clients and people.Develop sophisticated digital and data transformation roadmaps for key clients (incl. unified measurement and reporting) and translate complexity into simple concepts for senior clients to buy into.Emphasise how to use clients’ first-party data or access alternatives to accelerate growth.Lead monthly Transformation Dinners with Gate One for key clients.Foster a culture of digital and data innovation that leads to award-winning work by building long-term audience-led strategies with clients and media partners.Lead Converged initiatives in the agency; drive adoption and embed in planning; collaborate with the CSA team to build stronger relationships between planners and analysts.Collaborate with the CSA to envision, create and sell new tools that drive client growth through better audience insight, measurement, and optimization.Work with MPs/CPs to uncover new commercial opportunities.Inspire planners to think beyond traditional “comms planning”; consider the entire customer journey.Prioritise opportunities with the CSA and group digital strategists and channel them to productive outcomes.Live our meaningful, daring philosophy to drive growth for clients and Arena.New BusinessOwn the storytelling across formats and provide clear guidance for creative teams to work from.Play a key role in winning new business, championing data and connectivity at the heart of pitches.IndustryCraft daring thought leadership; contribute agency pieces and publish thought pieces in trade and wider press.Elevate the agency’s profile through bold thought leadership, events, case studies, articles and award-winning work.Champion media owner relationships and obtain first-mover advantages with data partnerships to drive client connectivity and performance.Speak on industry panels, judge awards, and craft award narratives.TeamFoster a culture of curiosity and inspire the Arena team, working with the SLT of Arena and Strategy to drive the engine of Arena and the wider agency.Collaborate with the existing Strategy Partner to balance creativity with data-driven capability and operational performance.Work with Data and Analytics specialists to connect culture-first work to tangible business outcomes.Coordinate with MPs/CPs to feed digital/data strategy into client business plans.VillageConnect with specialist departments in the Havas Media Network and agencies in the Havas Village to create bespoke client solutions.Collaborate with Arena MD and other Village agencies to form a connected process for existing clients and new pitches.Team / Reporting LinesReporting into the Group Head of Strategy with a dotted line into the Arena MD and overseeing the Arena Strategy Partner.Core SkillsExcellence in using, applying and understanding data to digitally transform businessesLateral thinking and an against-the-grain mentalityProblem solving across a diverse range of businessesStorytelling and selling — ability to develop a compelling narrative and sell ideasBroad marketing knowledge from advertising and mediaBrevity — ability to boil down problems and solutions into a distinctive strategic pointKnowledge of the wider comms ecosystem including media, partnerships and sponsorshipsUnderstanding of measurement and effectiveness foundationsA doer, not just a thinker — ensuring strategies are evidenced and activatedMustsMinimum 8 years’ experience across the marketing industryAbility to work at pace on client engagements demanding speed and qualityPreferable: Experience with challenger/disrupted brands and/or entertainment marketingExperience across creative/media/clientsSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAdvertising, Marketing, and Customer ServiceIndustries: Advertising ServicesNote: This posting excludes unrelated boilerplate and location extras.
