Supply Desk is currently looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Borehamwood. Job Description:
andbull; Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage, challenge, and support students across KS3 and KS4.
andbull; Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
andbull; Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback and reporting outcomes to key stakeholders.
andbull; Support the development and implementation of the English curriculum in line with national standards.
andbull; Foster a positive classroom environment, managing behaviour effectively and encouraging student participation.
andbull; Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, contributing to their overall wellbeing.
andbull; Work collaboratively with colleagues, including the English department and wider school team, to promote best practices.
andbull; Engage in professional development and contribute to the schoolandrsquo;s CPD programme.
andbull; Participate in school events, parents'' evenings, and enrichment opportunities.
Our ideal candidate will:
andbull; Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
andbull; Have experience teaching English in a UK secondary school (experience with GCSE preferred).
andbull; Possess excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the English language and literature.
andbull; Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment.
andbull; Have the ability to differentiate lessons to support varying levels of ability.
andbull; Be committed to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practice.
andbull; Be a team player with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
andbull; Hold or be willing to obtain a clear DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
andbull; Be enthusiastic about contributing to the life and culture of the school community.
