Health and Safety Consultant

South Staffordshire

Circa £40,000, plus £4,000 car allowance, 55p per mile and additional benefits

You will be joining an established, well-respected health and safety consultancy who deliver a quality led service to clients across the UK. They are ready to expand further and have opened up a role for a Health & Safety Consultant to join their close-knit team.

You will need to be able to commute to the office when needed and able to travel UK wide to meet client needs, which does mean regular nights away (averaging 2-3 per month). You will be working with a range of clients and sectors in a client facing role, helping them to meet their compliance needs and providing practical advice to improve standards. This includes completing site inspections, conducting audits, investigating incidents, developing management systems or presenting recommendations to a senior leadership team.

The focus is on helping clients make meaningful improvements, rather than delivering a tick-box approach to compliance.

To be considered for this Health & Safety Consultant role, you will:

• Have practical experience in a health and safety role as an Advisor, Officer, Business Partner, Consultant or similar.
• A good understanding of health and safety legislation and practical compliance
• The ability to produce concise, accurate and professional reports
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
• Sound professional judgement and the ability to manage your own workload
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK
