Mechanical Engineering Manager We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager for a client based in Preston, the role will be a full time permeant position with the client offering a salary that is commensurate with experience. The client does offer hybrid working but would be looking for candidates who can be site based. Key responsibilities include: Leading engineering strategies, bids, tenders, costs, schedules and resource planning. Managing multidisciplinary engineering delivery, technical direction and assurance. Ensuring designs comply with engineering requirements, legislation, regulations and applicable standards. Overseeing engineering compliance, verification and validation, UKCA/CE marking, configuration control and technical documentation. Applying conventional and nuclear safety principles throughout design and delivery. Managing technical risks, issues, change and recovery strategies to protect cost, quality and schedule. Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, SMEs and internal stakeholders. Driving quality, continuous improvement, learning from experience and engineering best practice. Developing, mentoring and coaching engineering personnel and supporting competency development. Ensuring environmental, health, safety and security requirements are consistently met.
