Engineering Manager

Location: North West England

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in the successful delivery of complex projects from bid stage through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Deliver projects safely, compliantly, on schedule and within budget.
• Manage engineering scope, resources, risks and technical issues.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycles.
• Support bid and tender submissions, including cost and schedule estimates.
• Ensure compliance with UKCA/CE marking requirements and relevant legislation.
• Act as the primary engineering interface with clients and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement, engineering excellence and quality standards.
• Mentor, develop and performance manage engineering personnel.

Essential Requirements

• Degree-qualified engineer (Level 6 Bachelor''s Degree with Honours or equivalent).
• Professionally registered engineer (CEng, IEng or equivalent).
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
• Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
• Knowledge of engineering assurance, verification and validation processes.
• Experience within highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Defence, Energy or Heavy Engineering.

Desirable Experience

• UKCA / CE Marking.
• Machinery Directive.
• LOLER, PUWER and CDM Regulations.
• Configuration management and engineering governance.
• Nuclear safety culture and compliance.
