Role Overview
As a Learning Disability Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple services, ensuring high standards of care delivery and regulatory compliance.
This role requires a strong leader who can manage staff teams effectively, support individuals with complex needs, and maintain excellent relationships with families, professionals, and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring services remain safe, compliant, and focused on person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to care teams, ensuring staff feel supported, motivated, and clear on expectations.
- Coordinate the smooth running of several services, ensuring support is delivered safely and consistently.
- Monitor service quality and ensure practices align with regulatory and compliance standards.
- Promote a culture of person-centred support that encourages independence and improves quality of life.
- Guide and mentor staff through regular supervision, performance reviews, and professional development.
- Oversee the management of incidents, safeguarding matters, and risk management processes.
- Ensure care documentation, reports, and service records are maintained accurately and in line with best practice.
- Develop strong partnerships with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders involved in individuals'' care.
- Assist with workforce planning including recruitment, induction, and ongoing staff development.
- Contribute to operational planning and provide leadership support outside of standard hours when required.
About You
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced manager with a strong background in health and social care and a commitment to delivering outstanding support to vulnerable individuals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a management role within health and social care.
- Sound knowledge of CQC standards.
- Driving license.
- Ability to manage complex situations and make informed decisions.
- NVQ Level 3 or Level 5 in Health & Social Care
