Learning Support for Graduates

* A Graduate Teaching Assistant will adapt explanations and resources under the direction of classroom staff

* The Graduate Teaching Assistant may support pupils with speech and language needs, ADHD or autism in 1:1 sessions

* As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will encourage social interaction and independent task completion

* An effective Graduate Teaching Assistant can reinforce agreed EHCP and behaviour support strategies consistently

* Communicate useful observations to the teacher and apply safeguarding expectations.

What We''re Looking For in a Graduate Teaching Assistant

* A relevant recent degree such as Psychology, Education Studies, Early Childhood Studies or a related SEND discipline for this Graduate Teaching Assistant role.

* Transferable experience from tutoring, mentoring, youth work, coaching or care is beneficial.

* Previous school-based employment is not a mandatory requirement.

* Patience, strong communication and willingness to learn from feedback.
