Senior Project Manager - client side - Rail sector (Buildings & Civils)
Buckinghamshire / Warwickshire (hybrid role)-

Contract duration up to 12 months

We are looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to a client side position. You will be working on two rail projects, one of which is in construction stage, the other is in design stage.-

This is a full time assignment, will be hybrid although there will be requirements for head office and site visits as required.-

Key Responsibilities:-

• Lead projects from initiation to close-out, delivering them safely, on time, within budget and to quality using APM or PRINCE2 methodologies.-
• Define scope, milestones and team roles, build and run the project plan
• Manage internal teams and external contractors
• Set up governance, including technical working groups and executive steering groups
• Report regularly to stakeholders on progress, risk and spend against forecast
• Make sure projects deliver value for money, support the client''s strategic objectives and keep the client compliant with changing regulation
• Run lessons-learnt reviews at completion

• Degree or similar in Project Management, Construction Management or Civil Engineering (preferred)-
• Demonstrable experience in working on the client side, either for an end client or a Project Management Consultancy-
• Full working knowledge and understanding in using web-based contract management tools (eg Cemar)
• Strong IT skills, including a good understanding of Microsoft Excel
• Thorough understanding of NEC suite of contracts
