We are working with an established and growing specialist construction subcontractor to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their delivery team.

The business has developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction packages across a range of sectors, specialising in fa-ade and window systems, SFS structural framing, drylining, ceiling systems, screeding and fireproofing.

The Role

As Senior Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of specialist construction packages, ensuring projects are completed safely, to programme, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

Working closely with Contracts Managers, Project Managers, clients, subcontractors and the wider site team, you will provide strong leadership and ensure all site activities are effectively coordinated and managed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of site operations.

• Lead, manage and motivate site teams, supervisors and subcontractors.

• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed programmes and project milestones.

• Maintain the highest standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and site procedures.

• Monitor workmanship and quality, ensuring all works meet specification and client expectations.

• Coordinate labour, materials, plant and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.

• Work closely with project and commercial teams to monitor progress, identify potential issues and manage risks.

• Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management and clients.

• Identify and resolve site-based challenges, maintaining a proactive and solutions-focused approach.

• Ensure all site documentation, RAMS, inspections and quality records are maintained accurately.

• Drive productivity, operational efficiency and a positive site culture.

• Manage snagging, inspections and handover processes to ensure successful project completion.

About You

We are looking for a driven and experienced Senior Site Manager with a strong background in construction, ideally within a specialist subcontracting environment.

You will be a confident leader with excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of managing complex site operations and building strong working relationships with clients and supply chain partners.

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Proven experience operating as a Senior Site Manager or an established Site Manager ready to take the next step.

• A strong background in the construction industry, ideally within specialist subcontracting.

• Experience delivering packages such as fa-ades, cladding, windows, SFS, drylining, ceilings or other internal and external building envelope works.

• A thorough understanding of construction methods, sequencing and programme management.

• Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and site compliance.

• The ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive site teams.

• Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving abilities.

• A proactive, hands-on approach with a genuine commitment to quality and programme delivery.

• Relevant construction qualifications, including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
