Learning Support Assistant Are you looking for a fulfilling role where you can make a genuine difference to young people''s lives? We are recruiting a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school near Borehamwood this September. You''ll be supporting students aged 4-18 with a range of additional needs including autism, PDA, ADHD, OCD and associated complex learning or behavioural difficulties. Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only Temp to Perm Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-16:00 (term-time only) Pay: £84.05 - £90 per day (inclusive of holiday pay) Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support in and out of the classroom Assist pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and daily routines Follow behaviour support plans and use de-escalation strategies Support learning activities and adapt resources to suit individual needs Help pupils build confidence and independence in a structured, nurturing setting Provide personal care support where required Work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to ensure consistent support Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and wellbeing Requirements: A caring, patient, and adaptable approach Some experience supporting children or young people with SEND (personal or professional) A good understanding of autism, child development and safeguarding practices Strong communication and teamwork skills GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent) Ability
