1:1 Learning Support Assistant - Primary School

Supply Desk is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming and well-regarded Primary School in Borehamwood. We''re currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the school on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised support to a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in their school environment. The Role:

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored 1:1 support for a specific pupil, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs and help them engage fully with their learning.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  Providing personalised 1:1 support in literacy, numeracy, and social development

  
  



• 
  

  Assisting in delivering and monitoring the pupil''s Individual Education Plan (IEP)

  
  



• 
  

  Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and engagement

  
  



• 
  

  Building a nurturing, trusting relationship with the pupil

  
  



• 
  

  Adapting resources and learning materials to the pupil''s needs

  
  



• 
  

  Monitoring and recording the pupil''s progress and communicating with staff

  
  



• 
  

  Supporting the pupil''s inclusion within the wider classroom and school environment

  
  

What We''re Looking For:

• 
  

  Previous experience supporting pupils 1:1 in a primary school setting is desirable

  A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
