Sous Chef
to join our dynamic kitchen team at our modern
Gastro Pub . As Sous Chef, you''ll play a key role in leading kitchen operations, maintaining high culinary standards, and delivering an exceptional dining experience focused on seasonal, locally-sourced, and creatively presented pub fare.Key Responsibilities:Support the Head Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations.Supervise and coordinate the preparation and presentation of all dishes.Ensure consistency and quality of food in line with gastro pub standards.Assist in developing new menus and daily specials using fresh, local ingredients.Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff to maintain a positive, productive environment.Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen (HACCP, food safety regulations).Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage waste to control food costs.Step in to lead the kitchen during Head Chefs absence.Requirements:Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy gastropub or restaurant.Strong knowledge of modern British/European pub cuisine.Passion for high-quality, seasonal ingredients and creative cooking.Ability to lead, train, and motivate a kitchen team under pressure.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or 3 preferred).
