Impact Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Kettering to recruit a Machine Operator to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on production role operating specialist machinery to accurately cut materials to the required specifications within a busy workshop environment.

Role Purpose:

As a Machine Operator, you''ll be responsible for operating and setting machinery to accurately cut materials in line with production requirements. Previous machine operating experience is preferred, particularly from the glass manufacturing, woodworking, stone or similar industries, although candidates from other manufacturing backgrounds will also be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong willingness to learn, a positive can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire

Salary: -14.00 - -15.00 per hour, depending on experience

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x

Responsibilities:

• Set and operate machinery to meet production requirements.
• Accurately cut materials to specified measurements and dimensions.
• Read and interpret measurements, drawings and production requirements.
• Check finished products to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the production process.
• Identify and report any issues with machinery, materials or finished products.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Follow all relevant Health & Safety procedures and site requirements.
• Support the wider workshop team with general production duties when required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator is essential.
• MUST have a UK Driving License or Motorbike License.
• Previous experience within glass manufacturing, woodworking, stone or a similar industry is advantageous.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Positive, can-do attitude with a proactive approach to work.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good understanding of measurements and accuracy.
• Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Reliable, hardworking and committed to producing a high standard of work.
