Term-Time Accounts Payable Assistant
Edmonton, North London | -15.13 per hour PAYE | 36 hours per week

Vitae Financial Recruitment are working with an established education organisation who are looking to recruit a Term-Time Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team on an initial 3-month basis.

The role is office-based, 5 days per week, with flexibility around the working hours.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced AP professional who enjoys working in a close-knit finance team and is looking for a term-time opportunity. There is also genuine potential for the role to become permanent for the right person.

The role:

- Processing invoices and supporting the Accounts Payable function
- Working with purchase orders and ensuring invoices are correctly matched
- Resolving invoice and payment queries and following issues through to resolution
- Using finance/AP systems to maintain accurate records
- Liaising with internal colleagues and suppliers where required
- Supporting the wider finance team as needed
- Potential to become involved in Sales Ledger and credit control as the role develops

We''re looking for:

- Previous Accounts Payable experience
- Experience using an AP/finance system
- Knowledge of purchase order processes
- Experience using PS Financials would be highly advantageous
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
- Someone who can follow up outstanding issues independently and use their initiative
- Previous experience within schools, education or a Multi-Academy Trust would be advantageous
- DBS checked / able to meet the required DBS criteria

Hours & Location:

- 36 hours per week over term time
- Flexible start/finish times, e.g. 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
- 100% office-based
- Free Parking

Rate: -15.13 per hour PAYE (circa -29,500 FTE equivalent)

Duration: Initial 3 months, with the intention of securing the right person on a permanent basis with the potential for increased hours.
