Strategic Sales Manager

We''re recruiting for a commercially driven Strategic Sales Manager to lead and develop the external sales function at a well-established specialist distributor. This is a senior leadership role combining team management, account growth, and strategic planning. The role is ideal for someone with a strong B2B sales background, ideally in high-reliability components or industrial markets, who can translate product knowledge into commercial growth.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop the external sales team, fostering a high-performance, target-driven cultureCoach and support team members; set clear sales objectives and review performanceMaintain and grow key customer accounts with a hands-on approachOversee territory planning and customer engagement across sales regionsDevelop and deliver sales strategy aligned to growth targets in key sectorsIdentify and capture new business opportunities and emerging marketsProvide regular sales reporting, pipeline updates, and strategic input to directorsRepresent the business at customer meetings, trade events, and supplier reviewsWork closely with suppliers to align on joint growth initiativesMonitor market trends and competitor activity to inform planningIdeal Candidate:Proven experience managing sales teams (preferably including field-based staff)Strong track record in B2B/key account salesCommercially focused and confident driving sales strategyProduct knowledge in electronic components (passive, electromechanical, Hi-Rel preferred)Str
