We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established main contractor based near to Ringwood. Our client delivers a varied range of construction, refurbishment and building projects across the South Coast, with project values typically ranging from 200k to 6m. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a main contracting background to join a reputable, growing business, taking commercial responsibility for a variety of projects from initial handover through to final account. Quantity Surveyor - The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple construction and refurbishment projects, ensuring effective cost control, procurement and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the commercial aspects of projects valued between 200k and 6m. Preparing and maintaining project budgets, cost plans and financial forecasts. Producing monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and monitoring project profitability. Managing subcontractor procurement, enquiries, quotations and appointments. Preparing and negotiating subcontractor packages and commercial agreements. Managing variations, valuations, applications for payment and final accounts. Monitoring project costs, identifying commercial risks and implementing corrective measures. Preparing cash flow forecasts and maintaining accurate financial records.
