TeacherActive is looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day cover. This is an opportunity to get to know a close-knit school community. For the right Teaching Assistant, cover could develop into a long-term placement.

Key responsibilities:

• Support KS1 children with lessons, activities and classroom routines.
• Provide one-to-one help to pupils who need extra support.
• Encourage children to try new things and celebrate their progress.
• Work closely with the class teacher to keep pupils engaged.
• Help create a caring, welcoming space where children feel ready to learn.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

• Experience supporting children with the UK primary curriculum.
• Previous one-to-one support experience.
• A patient, encouraging manner with younger pupils.
• The ability to adapt your support to each child.
• An Enhanced DBS registered onto the Update Service.
• SEND experience, which would be useful.
