The Role

The successful candidate will join a collaborative English department, delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach English Language and Literature in line with the national curriculum.
• Develop students'' reading, writing, comprehension and analytical skills.
• Differentiate lessons and resources to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
• Monitor, assess and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.
• Establish positive classroom relationships and maintain high standards of behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment in line with the school''s safeguarding policies.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a motivated and dedicated English Teacher who can demonstrate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The confidence to adapt teaching approaches to support students of different abilities.
