TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher. The school provides education to students aged 11-16, with a focus on supporting academic progress and developing students'' confidence and abilities.

The school is looking to take on a qualified English Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4, assessing student progress, maintaining strong classroom management and supporting students in preparation for their GCSE examinations.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum and GCSE requirements
• Excellent classroom management skills
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
