CNC Lathe ProgrammerLocation: Glasgow Salary: Up to £21 per hour depending on experience Reference: ASPLIVOur client, a well-established precision engineering business based in Glasgow, is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.This opportunity would suit an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer with strong Fanuc control experience, capable of programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture high-quality precision components. Experience working within the oil and gas industry would be advantageous but is not essential.Responsibilities: Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls.Developing and optimising CNC programmes to manufacture precision components.Reading and interpreting technical and engineering drawings.Setting up tooling, materials and machines for production runs.Machining components to tight tolerances and required quality standards.Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.Identifying and resolving programming or machining issues.Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment. Requirements: Previous experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer.Strong experience with Fanuc controls.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.Good understanding of machining processes, tooling and precision engineering.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Oil and gas industry ..... full job details .....
