Senior Consultant - Finance Transformation

Up to c.-70,000 + bonus | Hybrid working | UK client travel

You know what a good finance function looks like. How would you like to help organisations build one?

I''m working with an established consultancy looking for a Senior Consultant to join its growing finance transformation team. This would suit someone who enjoys getting into the detail of how finance operates, challenging existing approaches and turning recommendations into improvements that people can see.

You''ll work with CFOs and senior finance leaders on programmes that change how their teams operate, plan and make decisions. That could mean redesigning a finance operating model, improving month-end processes, strengthening forecasting or helping an organisation understand and manage its costs more effectively.

You''ll take ownership of workstreams, working with clients to understand where the challenges sit, build a clear case for change and deliver practical solutions. The role combines analysis, advisory work and hands-on delivery, so you''ll need to be comfortable moving from the numbers to the bigger picture - and bringing stakeholders with you.

There''s also scope to influence how the team develops. Alongside client projects, you''ll support proposals and pitches, help shape new services and coach junior colleagues. For someone who wants more ownership and a broader contribution to a consulting practice, there''s plenty to get involved in.

I''d be keen to speak with you if you have:

• An ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accountancy qualification, or are on track to qualify within the next 12 months.
• A strong consulting background in finance transformation, performance improvement or operational finance.
• Experience improving at least two core finance processes, such as order to cash, procure to pay, record to report or financial planning and analysis, and/or delivering cost improvement programmes.
• Experience leading workstreams within complex transformation projects, with clear examples of your contribution and the results achieved.
• The confidence to work with senior finance stakeholders, challenge constructively and turn detailed analysis into clear recommendations.
• Experience supporting proposals, pitches, client development or the creation of new consulting services.

Experience working with large or complex finance functions would be useful. Exposure to AI-enabled finance solutions or digital tools would also be welcome, but your finance expertise and ability to deliver change are the key priorities.

The position offers hybrid working, with flexibility required for UK client assignments. Some projects may involve time away from home, occasionally at short notice.
