We are recruiting for an experienced Welder to join an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder with MIG/TIG experience who can work from technical drawings and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.

The Role

• Carry out MIG/TIG welding to a high standard in line with technical specifications.
• Read, interpret and work from engineering drawings of varying complexity.
• Complete self-inspections to ensure work meets required quality standards before final inspection.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures and quality requirements.
• Work independently when required while contributing effectively to the wider team.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years'' welding experience.
• Practical MIG and/or TIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Relevant welding qualifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work independently and follow technical instructions.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to health and safety.

Desirable Experience

• Coded welding experience.
• Welding qualifications to BS EN ISO 9606-1 and/or 9606-2.
• NVQ in Welding and Fabrication.
• MIG/MAG welding experience.
• Knowledge of 5S and lean working practices.
