BRC are working closely with a leading housing provider to recruit an experienced Electrician, to join the response team. This role involves carrying out safe and high-quality electrical repairs, installations, servicing, inspection and testing across housing stock, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard while providing excellent customer service. Duties: Carry out electrical works, repairs and installations within agreed priorities and to a high standard. Identify and repair electrical faults and undertake domestic rewires. Carry out works in both occupied and non-occupied properties, including kitchens, bathrooms and full property rewires. Complete inspection, testing and commissioning of electrical installations. Work in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation, policies, procedures and BS7671. Read drawings and specifications, identify project requirements and requisition appropriate materials. Liaise with customers and colleagues, keeping relevant parties informed of work progress and action taken. Provide electrical expertise to planned works teams where required. Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota, with additional pay for standby and call-outs. Maintain the company vehicle and complete regular vehicle safety checks. Support the development of apprentices and trainees where required. Requirements: Qualified Electrician with relevant practical experience.
