The Role - English Teacher

As an English Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that develop students'' reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering English Language and Literature lessons across the secondary curriculum
• Adapting teaching to support different abilities, including students with SEND
• Developing vocabulary, extended writing and confident discussion
• Assessing understanding and providing purposeful feedback
• Preparing students for assessments and examinations
• Maintaining clear expectations and a positive classroom environment
• Working with departmental colleagues to share resources and effective practice

The successful English Teacher will combine strong subject knowledge with the ability to make challenging texts accessible and relevant.
