Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a business based in Hertford, who are looking for a Temporary Bookkeeper to join their finance team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced finance professional who is confident managing day-to-day bookkeeping and can quickly become a valued member of a busy team.

The Role
You will be responsible for a range of transactional finance duties, helping to ensure the smooth and accurate running of the accounts function.

Key responsibilities as Bookkeeper will include:

• Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Managing bank reconciliations
• Processing payments and receipts
• Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assisting with month-end processes
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Providing general support to the wider finance team as required

To succeed in the application of this Bookkeeper role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a bookkeeping or similar finance role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Good Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills
