4 on 4 off, days and nights (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am)

Salary up to -56,000 (dependant on experience)

Role Description - What you will be doing

• Complete planned and reactive maintenance to maximise OEE, reduce downtime and improve machinery performance
• Carry out electrical testing, fault-finding and safe isolation, with safety paramount at all times
• Use CMMS systems to record, plan and manage maintenance activity
• Work collaboratively as part of a four-person engineering team and communicate effectively with production and other key stakeholders
• Maintain the highest health and safety standards and safe working practices
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with the team to implement them
• Maintain mixers, valves, reactors and other mechanical equipment
• Support improvement projects

Skills and qualifications required:

• Time-served engineering apprenticeship
• At least three years of hands-on engineering experience after completing the apprenticeship
• Experience within food manufacturing or food production
• Either an electrical or mechanical bias will be considered
• A good understanding of electrical testing, fault-finding and safe working practices
• Comfortable using CMMS systems; experience with the company''s specific system is not required
• A strong team player, comfortable working within a four-person engineering team
• Ability to work independently when required
• Willingness to undertake internal training and continue developing as an engineer
