Newly Qualified Solicitor? Ready to Make Your First Move In-House?

Junior Legal Counsel
Coventry | Hybrid (c.3 days in the office)
Salary: c.-45,000 + excellent benefits

If you''ve recently qualified as a solicitor and are looking to step away from private practice into a genuinely varied in-house role, this could be the opportunity you''ve been waiting for.

We''re partnering with a leading global business to recruit a Junior Legal Counsel to join a highly regarded and supportive legal team. This is an ideal first in-house move, offering exposure to a broad range of legal matters, excellent mentoring and the chance to develop your commercial skills within an international organisation.

Whether you''ve qualified into Commercial, Corporate, Commercial Litigation or Real Estate, we''d love to hear from you if you''re keen to broaden your experience and become a trusted business adviser.

No two days will be the same. Working closely with experienced senior lawyers, you''ll gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of legal work, including:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements

• Advising stakeholders across the business on day-to-day legal matters

• Supporting litigation and disputes, working alongside external counsel where required

• Assisting with company secretarial matters and governance

• Contributing to compliance and regulatory projects

• Building strong relationships with colleagues across the UK and wider international business

You''ll be encouraged to take ownership of your work while receiving ongoing coaching and support as your confidence and expertise grow.

You''ll be a recently qualified solicitor (or approaching qualification in early 2027) with experience gained in one of the following areas:

• Commercial

• Corporate

• Commercial Litigation

• Real Estate

More importantly, you''ll be commercially minded, keen to learn and excited by the prospect of working closely with the business rather than purely advising from the sidelines.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you''re looking for:

• Your first move in-house

• Genuine variety rather than specialising too early

• Exposure to an international business

• A collaborative and supportive legal team invested in your development

• Long-term career progression within a global organisation

• Salary circa -45,000

• Excellent benefits package

• Hybrid working (approximately 3 days per week in the Coventry office)

• Ongoing learning and development

• A supportive team environment where you''ll continue to grow your legal career

If you''re ready to take the next step and build a long-term career in-house with a global organisation, we''d love to hear from you.
