Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the lead advisor for procurement within the People category, developing and implementing category strategies aligned with corporate objectives.Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across People services to understand needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.Lead a category team in delivering end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and internal governance.Deliver value for money, embedding social value and sustainability into procurement outcomes.Manage and mentor junior procurement staff, fostering professional development and high performance.Contribute to the development of procurement policies and strategies, identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.About YouProven experience in public sector procurement, ideally within People services.Strong knowledge of UK procurement legislation and frameworks.Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
