The Opportunity

A respected engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to help lead the delivery of innovative and sustainable building services projects across the UK.

The company is recognised for its collaborative design ethos, low-energy engineering approach, and involvement in architecturally significant and heritage-focused developments. Following continued growth and a move into a newly refurbished office, they are looking to strengthen their senior engineering team.

This role offers the opportunity to lead projects, mentor engineers, and work closely with clients and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects.
• Produce and review technical calculations and specifications.
• Manage project programmes and technical deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams.
• Attend client meetings and provide technical guidance.
• Support sustainable and energy-efficient design strategies.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Contribute to business development and client relationships.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Strong consultancy background within building services.
• Proven experience delivering complex projects.
• Excellent technical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of low-energy and sustainable building design.
• Chartered or working toward chartership preferred.
• Experience managing client relationships and project teams.
