The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join a forward-thinking building services consultancy that specialises in sustainable and technically challenging projects.

Recently relocating into a fresh new office space, the consultancy continues to grow its reputation for delivering innovative mechanical and electrical engineering solutions across commercial, heritage, arts, education, and residential developments.

You will play a key role in project delivery while working closely with senior engineers, architects, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical designs for building services projects.
• Produce calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with architects and external consultants.
• Attend client and design meetings.
• Support sustainable and low-energy building design strategies.
• Undertake site inspections and surveys.
• Mentor junior engineers where appropriate.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Previous consultancy experience within building services.
• Understanding of UK building regulations and standards.
• Experience using industry design software.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.
• Passion for sustainable engineering solutions.
