They are a supplier to the Royal Navy and global allies with a reputation for agility.This role reports into the Project Manager (and functional Line Manager) and will work closely with the Systems Design Authority and Engineering Manager. As the PEL you will be overseeing the engineering throughout product development across Technology Levels, building upon existing products. You will be responsible for providing engineering leadership, supporting customer meetings and involved in hands-on engineering.This is a Principal Systems Engineer level position suitable for an experienced engineering leader with demonstrable success of engineering management and team leadership, with an appreciation of mature complex engineering and experience of leading development across the product development lifecycle:Expertise in Systems Engineering with an understanding of Software, Electrical and Mechanical EngineeringAn appreciation of designing complex productsSystems design experienceExperience of working throughout the development lifecycle (design through to integration, verification, validation, and qualification)Expertise in trade-off analysisTechnology insertion (e.g. Urgent Capability Requirements) Supporting to in-service products/systems and quality/issue resolution (e.g. experience of structured problem solving)Experience of creating engineering schedule
