Senior Solutions Architect, Solutions Architecture, UK

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated technologists with expertise in cloud technologies, AI, Generative AI, and data analytics to join our UK Solutions Architecture team. Our Solutions Architecture team is a diverse group of technologists from various backgrounds. We work with AWS customers in the Travel and Hospitality industry to understand their unique needs and challenges. You will blend business acumen with technical guidance to engage with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption, helping them reinvent their businesses using AWS technology and guiding them on their cloud journey. You will manage the overall technical relationship between our customers and AWS, lead architecture reviews, white-boarding sessions, demos, and technical workshops, and influence decision-makers at all levels of the organization.Internally, you''ll be the voice of the customer, sharing needs to inform the AWS feature roadmap while collaborating with account management, professional services, support, and the AWS partner ecosystem. You will create and share best practices at scale, including technical content and reference architectures for use cases such as AI/ML, serverless and container-based architectures, analytics, DevOps, and security. You will have support to grow your expertise in industry and technology areas in depth. Practical knowledge of the AWS platform is desired but not required if you have a sound technical foundation and a desire to learn. Work directly with customers to accelerate complex projects and align technological solutions with their long-term business objectivesBuild relationships with customers, including the C-suite and Line of Business stakeholders, to establish yourself as their trusted advisorShare the voice of the customer to inform the roadmap of AWS featuresParticipate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architecturesEducate about AWS technology through workshops, meetups, public speaking, etcDevelop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to customer outcomes and personal interestsQualifications

Basic QualificationsExperience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data and analytics)Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructuresExperience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industriesPreferred QualificationsBachelor''s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, and storage architecturesExperience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networkingKnowledge of SAP systems and their architecture and infrastructure needsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
