Locum Consultant in Orthopaedics (Knee Surgeon)

Overview
Locum Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon – soft tissue and knee arthroplasty. Fixed-term position to increase skill mix within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Service at Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust. Candidates should demonstrate specialist knowledge and experience in treating sub specialty conditions both electively and in trauma, with broad experience in general trauma.Responsibilities
This is a full-time post attracting 10 Programmed Activities per week, with the opportunity to discuss taking on further PAs upon appointment. The successful candidate will be part of the fixed 1:10 on-call consultant rota, deliver outpatient services onsite with outreach locations, and provide elective operating at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC) and on-site at Kingston Hospital to support increasing emergency knee demand. The post holder will work proactively in the busy unit and contribute to ongoing service development. Regular soft tissue knee and revision knee MDTs take place and engagement is required. The unit participates in multi-center randomized controlled trials and further research is encouraged.Qualifications and Experience
