Functional Skills Tutor - Liverpool

Location: Liverpool
Hours: 5-15 hours per week

Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a flexible Functional Skills Tutor to support a learner through 1:1 tuition in Liverpool.

This is an ideal opportunity for an educator who enjoys helping learners overcome barriers, develop their core skills and make steady progress towards their individual targets.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised Functional Skills tuition
Support English and/or Maths development
Plan sessions around individual learning objectives
Identify and address gaps in knowledge
Adapt resources and teaching strategies
Build confidence and encourage engagement
Track and report on learner progress

Requirements
Previous teaching or tutoring experience
Functional Skills experience desirable
Strong English and/or Maths knowledge
Experience supporting learners with varied abilities
Patient, adaptable and encouraging approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Right to Work in the UK
Two professional child-related references
