When that pressure spills over into behaviour, they don''t need punishment - they need understanding and support.We''re working with a secondary school in Tower Hamlets who are looking for an SEN Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH, autism, ADHD and emotional regulation needs. This is a hands-on role for someone who can stay calm, consistent and supportive, even on the tough days.What you''ll be doing:Supporting SEN pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groupsHelping students manage emotions, transitions and challenging momentsUsing de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies to keep students safe and settledSupporting pupils to re-engage with learning after incidentsWorking closely with the SENCO, pastoral team and teaching staffBuilding trusting relationships through consistency and clear boundariesRecognising progress and effort, not just outcomesThis role could be right for you if you:Have experience supporting young people with SEN or behavioural needsUnderstand that behaviour is often a form of communicationCan balance empathy with firm, fair boundariesStay patient and level-headed when situations escalateAre committed to helping vulnerable students feel understood and sup
